Getting started
The Help centre
Who can use it. The public help site at /help is open to everyone, including signed-out visitors. The in-app Help centre is staff only: clients never see it.
What it's for
The guides that explain how each part of Summit Hub works are published in two places:
- The public help site at
/help, which anyone can read. - An in-app Help centre for signed-in staff, reachable from the left menu, so you don't have to open the marketing site in another tab to look something up.
The public site shows public guides only. The in-app catalogue also includes guides marked Staff only, inside the normal app navigation.
How to use it
Publicly
- Click Help in the top menu bar.
- Browse grouped topics: Getting started, Your business, Day-to-day work and Connected workflows, or use the labelled Search guides field.
- Click a guide to read it. ← All guides returns you to the same topic and search.
In App
- In the left menu, click Help.
- Browse the same task-based topics or use Search guides. Each topic is a list with a one-line summary under every guide, and staff-only guides are clearly labelled.
- Click a guide to read it. ← All guides at the top keeps your chosen topic and search.
- On a longer guide, On this page jumps straight to a section. On a computer it sits beside the guide, with other guides on the same topic under it. On a phone or tablet, tap On this page above the guide to open it.
On a phone, Help is in the More menu.
Use your browser's Back and Forward buttons to revisit topics and searches. Opening a guide keeps your current search, even if you click straight after typing.
Good to know
- Internal staff guides appear only in the in-app Help centre; they are not included in public search, counts or direct public links.
- Clients never see the Help menu item: it's a staff-side surface.
