Your business
Notifications
- Updated: 2026-10-01
Who can use it. Office staff (employee and above) and field crew who have My To-Dos turned on. Customers do not get notifications.
What it's for
Notifications tell you when something needs your attention: a task is assigned to you, a task you raised is finished, someone comments, a deal moves stage, a reminder comes due, or a sync needs a look. The bell shows what is new. The Notifications page keeps the whole history so you can find an older one.
Where to find them
- The bell sits in the account block at the bottom of the left sidebar, next to Sign out. A red number on it counts what you have not read yet (it shows 9+ once there are ten or more).
- Click the bell to see your latest notifications. Click one to go straight to what it is about. Mark all read clears the number. At the bottom of the list, See all notifications opens the full page.
- On a phone, the bell is in the More tab: the tab carries the unread number, and the More sheet has a Notifications row with the count.
- The account block is labelled My Account, and clicking it (your avatar, the label or your role) opens My Account.
The Notifications page
Open it from the bell's See all notifications link, the More sheet on a phone, or go to /notifications.
- Search looks in the title and the details of every notification. Type and pause, or press Enter.
- Type limits the list to one kind, such as Task assigned or Sync failure.
- Unread only hides what you have read.
- From and To limit the list to a date range. The To date includes the whole of that day.
- The filters are saved in the page address, so you can bookmark a filtered view or send the link to yourself. Changing the type, Unread only, a date or the page adds a step to your browser history, so Back returns to the view before it. Searching by typing (including pressing Enter) updates the address without adding a step, so Back skips past your searches to the view from before you started. Clear filters starts over.
- With Unread only on, a notification leaves the list as soon as you read it, and the count and "Showing" line update to match.
- The list shows 25 at a time, with page numbers and a line such as "Showing 26 to 50 of 312".
- Click a row to open it. You see the full text, and it is marked read. Open takes you to the related task, deal or sync log.
- Tick rows and choose Mark selected as read, or choose Mark all as read to clear everything.
- On a phone each notification is a card instead of a table row.
Good to know
- Notifications are kept for one year, whether you have read them or not. After that they are removed.
- You only ever see your own notifications.
- Field crew see the same task notifications they see in the bell, no more.
- New notifications show up within about a minute. The bell and the page share one count, so they always agree.
- The bell used to float in the top-right corner of the screen, where it could sit on top of buttons in a page header. It now lives in the sidebar, so nothing is covered.
